What Is In My University Bag? 2019/20

Hey there guys,

Just want to introduce myself. Hi, I am Amaara from Random Ramblings With A Uni Student. I am an 18 year old university student who did a foundation year last year and I am starting my BSc degree in occupational therapy in September.

Therefore I have some idea as to what university life is like. I am still learning and picking up new tricks along the way so follow me on Instagram to see updates and make sure to check out my blog to see my other university related posts.

Also, just want to say a massive thank you to Ella for letting guest write on her blog. This is my first time collaborating with another blogger so thank you very much Ella and to you lovely readers, I hope my post is as good as Ella's

So let's get into this...

In today's post I am just going to be telling you guys what I kept in my university bag during first year. I'll tell you whether I found the items useful or not and let's get into it...

What Bag Did I Use?

So the bag I decided to use for first year is a large black tote style handbag from Primark. I believe I spent about £12. I don't think they sell the bag anymore and I am planning to purchase a new bag for the next academic year so to find out which bag I decided to go with, make sure you follow me on Instagram.

The bag was very good quality. I could still use it next year but I just really want a rucksack as the tote style did hurt my shoulder a little. I will probably sell it on Depop once I purchase a new bag so yeah make sure you check out my Depop, I have a few things up for sale already and I will be uploading more clothes when I move from my family home and into my flat for the next academic year.
This was given to me by the university. All first years are given one when they start at the university. The laptop is super handy at university and at least for my course, you have to use a lot of online resources during lectures and so yeah, I bring it with me everyday. The laptop is not very heavy and so it is quite easy to carry around to lectures, libraries, and other places.

HOW USEFUL IS IT? 10/10

So obviously I always take my phone charger with me to university every day.

HOW USEFUL IS IT? 10/10
  • Lined Notepad
It is handy to bring a lined notepad to your lectures so that you can write down notes rather than typing them if you prefer to do that. You can also use the paper to doodle.

HOW USEFUL IS IT? 10/10
I took only 2 pens to class and I definitely should've taken more. Next year I will definitely be taking a full pencil case with multiple pens, highlighters, and coloured pens.

HOW USEFUL IS IT? 10/10
I took a diary to university with me everyday but I never actually used it. I used my phone calendar for everything but next year I definitely want to be organised and have a bullet journal to plan my life out.

HOW USEFUL WAS IT (this year)? 0/10
HOW USEFUL WAS IT (if I use it)? 10/10
My friend bought be a reusable water bottle and I took that to university everyday. It is cheaper than buying a new water bottle every day and it is also better for the environment.

HOW USEFUL WAS IT? 10/10
I took some sort of food to university everyday. Some days it was just snacks and other days when I was more prepared, I would take lunch of some sort. I have a post on my blog, What I Wish I Had Known Before Starting University where I talk about how important meal prepping is as well as a whole bunch of other stuff that I wish I had known before university.
